If AI has lessons to teach us one of the most important is that consciousness is relational. We are *not* brains in a vat. We also are not just walking brains. We are intimately and intricately related to each other, every star in the cosmos, every point in history and every moment in the future. Intelligence is a side effect of acquiring this relationship with our world, NOT the vehicle.

I can't tell you how much I appreciate this. Knowledge has proliferated while wisdom has withered. Connecting back into the ancient narratives brings back a piece of ourselves (plural) and our global community.

I think you are wrong on Plato. He didn't think there was a soul that 'knew' the truth from within, he believed there was an alternative realm, the realm of forms. He thought that truth was derived from an insightful person being able to look into this separate realm and interpret the truth that he saw.

Just to add. Cogito, ergo sum is a response to Plato's knowledge regress. So Plato created a problem that needed to be addresses.

Thank you for this piece. Renee Good killed in Minnesota. How can one apply wisdom to this event. How does one respond? Mostly as you know there are 2 camps of what happened. I have seen all the videos. Each camp thinks they know the truth. I need guidance on how to bring some nuance to this situation. I’m seeking wisdom.
