Hemingway commit suicide at 61. His father, a doctor, also committed suicide, principally because he had diabetes when the disease was considered terminal. I believe his mother gave him the handgun his father used. Having lived in Oak Park as a kid, my mother recalled seeing
Mrs. Hemingway around town. After WWI, Ernest never returned. Oak Park was an interesting first ring Chicago suburb with lots of stores to be told.
Great episode.

I love the movie of ‘The old man and the sea’ with Spencer Tracy. And the book is always better than the movie!
Didn't Hemingway kill himself? That's no great finish.
